After months of speculation and anticipation, Brandon Beane did what nearly every Bills fan wanted him to do: make an aggressive move to trade up in the 2018 NFL Draft to select the franchise quarterback that they have coveted since Jim Kelly.  It was a little later than most people thought, but the Bills moved from 12th overall to 7th overall.

To make the move, here was what the Bills had to give up:

Bills receive:
7th overall
7th round pick

Buccaneers receive:
12th overall
53rd overall
56th overall

There will be plenty of analysis and recap in the coming days, but as far as tonight, rejoice Bills fans.  Rejoice that we have a GM who saw the importance in having a franchise QB and that he did what he needed to do to make a move to land the QB that he coveted.  Now, let’s hope that Beane picked the right one.  His job, and the Bills’ legacy will depend on it.  Go Bills!

  1. Time will tell. I hope he’s a good one. I like the fact of the Bills being bold and going for it. It was fun to watch.

    1. Agreed. I wish him the best, it is a change of pace for them to be aggressive and for them to go and get their guy.
