Sunday marks the first of two meetings between the AFC rivals Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins. After last weeks surprise win vs. Patriots, the team has gained a lot of confidence coming into this week.
Last week, the Bills just slid past the Colts to get a win. Awful snowy conditions at New Era Field left passing the ball and kicking very hard. Snow came up to 5 inches in some areas. The game was very slow but, the Bills got the win thanks to Deonte Thompson’s great catch that set up LeSean McCoy’s run for the game winning touchdown with Joe Webb at the helm. Final: 13-7
On to this week. Tyrod Taylor will get the start after not playing last week due to injury. Nate Peterman will not be active this week due to injury as well. Peterman left last weeks game after diving head first to the ground. Joe Webb will back-up Taylor.
The Dolphins come into town after surprising America and beating the New England Patriots 20-27 last week. The Dolphins defense intercepted Tom Brady twice, that ultimately won the game for Miami.
Kenyan Drake. This is who the Bills defense needs to watch out the most. He was explosive last week. Getting around Matt Patricia’s defense to get 114-yards on the ground and 79-yards in the air.
An old face returns to New Era Field: Kiko Alonso. He had eight tackles last week, with five solo tackles. This is another guy to watch.
Tyrod Taylor and the Bills offense need to get around this defense. Miami’s defense left the Patriots running back group to a total of 25-yards. The Bills would be better in the air then on the run in that place. Depending on weather conditions as well.
Kenny Stills is the one that the Bills secondary need to watch for. With 750-yards this season, opposing teams secretaries can’t seem to stop him.
The Bills need a win here.
