The Bills have a big task on Sunday, taking on the New Orleans Saints (6-2) at New Era Field. Especially after last weeks loss against the Jets on Thursday Night Football. Which was arguably the worst preference of the season.
After sitting out in last weeks game, newly-acquired WR Kelvin Benjamin is set to make is Buffalo Bills debut. Benjamin is going to help the Bills big time. His physicality and mental standpoint of the game is one of the reasons Brandon Beane make the trade.
On the injury board today: OG Richie Incognito (rest), OT Cordy Glenn (foot/ankle), and WR Zay Jones (ankle) did not practice. Tight end Charles Clay (knee) and CB E.J Gaines (hamstring) were limited.
Clay will most likely play this weekend. We all hope E.J Gaines can too.
For the Saints: T Terron Armstead (shoulder) and S Kenny Vaccaro did not practice. G Larry Warford (abdomen), WR Michael Thomas (ankle) and DE Alex Okafor (ankle) were limited.
Just a reminder: November is Salute to Service month. Sport your camo Bills attire.
The Saints offense is on fire this year. With the addition of WR Ted Ginn Jr. and RB Alvin Kamara, who was named FedEx Ground Player of the week, have won 6 games in a row.
Drew Brees, 38, has 2,214 yards and 13 TD passes on the season. On the ground, Mark Ingram has 541 yards and 4 TD. When it comes to the catching game, Michael Thomas leads with 545 yards and 2 TD this season.
When it comes to the secondary, both teams have stars.
I have compared two players from both teams: a cornerback and a safety.
On the Bills side, it is CB Tre’Davious White and S Micah Hyde. On the Saints side: CB Marshon Lattimore.
I compared White and Lattimore because the practically have the same stats. Both have 31 combined tackles and 1 forced fumble. Lattimore leads the pair with 2 interceptions, while White has only one.
Safety’s Micah Hyde and Kenny Vacarro also have similar stats: 35-39 combined tackles and no forced fumbles. Hyde is second in the league in interceptions with 5. Vaccaro has 3.
I believe the Bills need to play to their max against a team that is arguably one of the best.
