Raiders vs. Bills: Bold Predictions

Last week the Buffalo Bills defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-27, improving their record to 4-2. This week Buffalo faces the 3-4 Oakland Raiders. Buffalo has a 53.1% chance to beat Oakland, according to ESPN’s Football Power Index. Here’s my bold predictions for the game:

  • LeSean McCoy rushes for 150 yards & 2 TDs. Oakland gives up 113.9 rushing yards to opposing RBs this season, which ranks them 21st in rushing defense. McCoy had a bounce back game last week vs. Tampa Bay, rushing for 91 yards and 2 TDs against a much better run defense. McCoy should be looking to have an even better game this week.
  • Deonte Thompson totals 110 receiving yards and 1 TD. Last week against Tampa Bay, Thompson totaled 107 receiving yards on 4 receptions and 4 targets. Oakland gives up the 24th most receiving yards to opposing teams (256.9). Thompson should have an even better week against a worse secondary in Oakland.
  • Micah Hyde totals 1 INT and a fumble recovery for a TD. Micah Hyde is tied with Titans DB Kevin Byard for most INTs on the season (4). Buffalo’s defense ranks 3rd in INTs (9) on the season. If the Bills front 7 can pressure Derek Carr enough on Sunday, the defense should be able to force some turnovers.
