Coming off a bye week the Bills are set to take on the 2-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Era Field on Sunday. Two weeks ago the Bills fell to the Bengals 20–16 in a game where the offense struggled mightily. During the bye several injured players have made good progress. Cornerback EJ Gaines along with WR Jordan Mathews returned to practice with limited roles. As the Bills get ready to take on the Buccaneers, the offense looks to rebound and get going against a Buccaneers defense that ranks 30th in the league in total yards. With multiple receiving threats on the Bucs offense the Bills defense must do their job and keep Tampa’s offense in check. With that said here are my bold predictions for this week’s game.
Tyrod Taylor:
Coming off a poor week against the Cincinnati Bengals Tyrod Taylor is looking to put his best foot forward when the Buccaneers come to town on Sunday. As mentioned above the Buccaneer’s defense currently sits 30th in league, this is a perfect opportunity for Tyrod Taylor and the offense to get back on track. I can see Tyrod throwing for 320 yards and getting 3 touchdowns through the air as well as one on the ground. I think Rick Dennison will try to get the run game going early and also open up the playbook to get Tyrod more involved in the passing game. Although Tyrod will be without his favorite target TE Charles Clay, there is a great chance starting WR Jordan Matthews will return this Sunday from a thumb injury sustained during the Falcons game.
LeSean McCoy:
Bills Mafia has been patiently waiting for LeSean McCoy to have a big game, this Sunday the wait might finally be over. After watching what Adrian Peterson did to the Buccaneers defense last week, there is no question in my mind that a faster more elusive Shady McCoy can’t do the same. McCoy has expressed his frustrations about the overall lack of production from the running game as well as struggling to run for positive yards. With some fine tuning done to the offense over the bye week I see Shady going off on Sunday for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns. I expect to see Shady getting fed the ball a ton early on.
Well there you have it, my bold predictions for Sundays game. Lets protect New Era Field and get back on track. As always Go Bills!!
