Stefon Diggs continues to move up the Buffalo Bills’ franchise record books. With his 87 receiving yards in the AFC East clinching win against the Dolphins, Diggs has moved into the Top 4 on the Bills’ all-time receiving yards list. Diggs passed Elbert Dubenion for 4th on the all-time list in his 66th game with the team. For reference, Dubenion played 103 games for the Bills. Here is a look at the new Top 5:
| Yards | Games Played | |
| 1. Andre Reed | 13,095 | 221 |
| 2. Eric Moulds | 9,096 | 154 |
| 3. Lee Evans | 5,934 | 109 |
| 4. Stefon Diggs | 5,372 | 66 |
| 5. Elbert Dubenion | 5,294 | 103 |
Diggs is closing in on Lee Evans for 3rd all-time and will pass him early next year. What is interesting is that Diggs is making his case for the greatest wide receiver in Bills’ history. He won’t play for the Bills long enough to top Andre Reed’s records, who played for the Bills for a whopping 14 seasons, but Diggs’ pace is more impressive than Reed’s. For the sake of it, if you run the numbers Diggs is on pace to supplant Andre Reed at the top of the list in 160 games. That amounts to nearly 6 years from now. The chances are low that a) Diggs is here in six seasons, and b) that he could continue at his current pace, but it is interesting that Diggs’ pace to 13,095 is 160 games, when Reed did it in 221 games. Diggs is more than half way to Moulds for 2nd all-time, in just over a quarter of the games. Obviously, the quality of the quarterback is the biggest factor in why Diggs is on such a treacherous tear, something that Eric Moulds did not have the benefit of.
Diggs will pass Lee Evans next year, and it will be interesting to see if he is on the roster long enough to get to #2 on the list. Regardless of where he ends up, Stefon Diggs will be considered one of the greatest wide receivers in team history. More so than any receiving record, Diggs hopes to have something that will separate him forever from everyone else on the list, and that is a Super Bowl title. The Bills’ latest hunt for a world championship begins next Sunday at 1pm against the Steelers.
